Part II ERPA Exam Coverage - Plan Document, Reporting, and Distribution Issues
The new IRS Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) status looks like a great idea, especially in light of the new PTIN rules ultimately requiring unenrolled preparers to pass an IRS general tax exam. But the breadth of issues covered on the ERPA exam is mind boggling. Defined contribution practitioners in particular can find the many defined benefit topics on the exam to be real stumbling blocks.
SunGard’s Relius Education has the solution you need. As one of the leading providers of continuing education for retirement plan professionals, we have developed a series of seminars to reinforce your understanding of exam subjects, prepare you for the defined benefit questions, and help you perform at your best.
What you get:
With SunGard’s Relius Education ERPA Test Review Web Seminars, you get more than just “review” courses. You get world class presenters, solid materials, and free study guides. What are you waiting for? Register online now!

Who Should Attend
For the retirement plan practitioner interested in preparing for the ERPA examinations, the training courses will methodically cover all of the exam topics. Each of the ERPA training courses, the study materials, and the sample tests will provide a practitioner the opportunity to be thoroughly prepared for the examinations. Since the training courses are a review, an attendee is expected to have an understanding of the fundamental rules and concepts of retirement plans.
Also, each year, SunGard offers two other courses: A 3-day Fundamentals of 401(k) and Other Qualified Plans Seminar in early summer, and a two-day seminar, 401(k) Plans: Beyond the Basics in the fall, which provide a broad understanding of the qualified plan rules. Each of these courses will provide practitioners a solid foundation of the retirement plan rules and will help in preparing a practitioner for the ERPA examinations.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites and no advance preparation required for this program. However, since the training courses are a review, an attendee is expected to have an understanding of the fundamental rules and concepts of retirement plans.
