Safe Harbor Plan Workshop – A 3-part Web Seminar
Presentor: Stephen W. Forbes, J.D., LL.M. Recorded Date: 9/9/2009 Duration: 300 Min.

Description

This program was recorded during live presentations on September 9, 10, and 11, 2009.

Safe Harbor 401(k) plans are becoming the 401(k) plan of choice for many employers. Utilizing a safe harbor 401(k) plan avoids burdensome nondiscrimination testing and costly correction. Learning to take advantage of various matching design options (e.g., triple stacked match), also allows an employer to avoid the complexities of top heavy, enhance disparity, and increase savings flexibility. Combining the safe harbor 401(k) plan with other plan designs (e.g., cross-testing), permits an employer to have the "best of both worlds.” Adding an automatic contribution feature (e.g., QACA) can further an employer’s goal of encouraging employees to save for retirement and can reduce costs for employers.

This program was recorded during a live presentation over three days on September 9, 10 & 11, 2009.

Join Stephen Forbes in this three-part webcast for a complete understanding of safe harbor 401(k) plans, including the impact of the recently issued regulations affecting plan termination and mid-year amendments.

This is a "must-attend" program for those retirement plan professionals who are new to safe harbor 401(k) plans, and will be a great review of fundamental principles for the experienced specialist.
