David Schultz, J.D.
David is an attorney and educator with FIS Relius. David has a diverse background that reflects both technical knowledge and practical experience. In his more than 20 years as part of the retirement plan community, David has served as a TPA, recordkeeper, ERISA attorney, investment professional, fiduciary consultant, and educator. David is the past chair of the ASPPA Government Affairs Committee’s 401(k) Subcommittee and Administrative Relations Committee and has been active in working with the IRS, DOL, and Congress to continue to improve America’s private retirement system. In addition to hosting live and web seminars for Relius Education, David is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, ASPPA ABC meetings, and Relius User Groups on a wide-range of topics and is well-regarded for injecting wit and humor into practical examples to break-down complex topics.

Robert M. Richter, J.D., LL.M., APM
Robert Richter, Vice President of FIS’ Relius, began his career with SunGard in 1985, and currently heads the Document Consulting Department. He is instrumental in drafting and supporting SunGard’s qualified retirement plans, cafeteria plans and self-funded health plans. He is well known in the industry as a frequent lecturer and author on topics related to cafeteria plans and qualified retirement plans. Robert is the immediate past President of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA). He currently serves on the Board of Managers of AIRE, LLC. He is also a fellow in the American College of Employee Benefit Counsel and is a member of numerous associations including The Florida Bar and the Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA). Robert received a Bachelor of Science, with a major in Finance, from the University of Florida, a Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University, and a Master of Laws degree in Taxation from the University of Florida.
