The Relius 403(b) Prototype: Making It Work for You
Presentor: S. Derrin Watson, J.D., APM Recorded Date: 10/1/2008 Duration: 300 Min.

Description

This is a special two-part event recorded on October 1-2, 2008. Each part is 150 minutes, for a total viewing time of 300 minutes.

Many clients have attended our EGTRRA Pre-approved Plan Workshops to learn the ins and outs of our EGTRRA restated prototype and prototype formatted volume submitter qualified plans. This two-part Web seminar is designed to accomplish the same function for our prototype 403(b) document, but with all the convenience of a Web seminar.

Derrin Watson, one of the principal drafters of our 403(b) document, will review that document in detail. We'll briefly discuss the document rules and deadlines under the final regulations. We will then have a detailed presentation of the different adoption agreements and how to use available options to accomplish a sponsor's objectives. Of course, there will be opportunities to submit your questions about using our new 403(b) plan.

If you plan to use our forms to design 403(b) plans, or you’re thinking of doing so, you need to attend this special presentation. Topics include:

  • 403(b) Document Requirements
  • Effect of ERISA on Plan Documents
  • Document Deadlines
  • Document Review
  • The Basic Plan Document
  • Possible Addenda
  • Deferral-only Short Form Adoption Agreement
