A picture is worth a thousand words, or so it is said. So how much is a graph worth? When you consider that a graph can be a picture of activities, balances, changes and much more, it could be worth its weight in gold. In Crystal, a graph can represent not only a summary at a glance; it can also be a picture of underlying information throughout the report. It can show a snapshot view of just about anything, and can be a background, an add-on or a preview of details yet to come. It will depend on how it’s constructed and where it’s placed. However it works, a graph can be a very powerful addition to a custom report.
In this session, we will:
- create simple types of graphs
- understand the difference between detail and summary graphs
- demonstrate various types of graphs
- use graphs in different places
- use graphs as background for the report details
- customize graphs with various available options
