Advanced Plan Design Workshop - A 1-day program
Nashville, TN - 10/4/2018 - 10/4/2018

Description

Scheduled in five cities in 2018: Appleton WI, Kansas City, Nashville, Portland, and Cincinnati.

The Advanced Plan Design Workshop is followed on the next day by the Plan Corrections: Fixing the Broken Plan Workshop. A multi-program discount will be available.

Selecting optimal plan design for a particular client is as much art as science, as much management as mathematics, yet it can be the key to a lasting and profitable client relationship. Whether as separate pieces or in combination, there are so many designs available to accomplish a client’s objectives that today’s retirement practitioner must not only understand what options are available, but also how each works, and which is the best option for the client.

Certainly, you have to know the rules. But you also have to know how they work together, and how they can be made to work to get the job done. Our Advanced Plan Design Workshop will help the intermediate to experienced retirement plan practitioner comprehend today’s most popular plan design alternatives and know when and how to apply them in a particular situation.

Topics include:

  • Troubleshoot cross-tested plans
  • Strategies to motivate employees to defer
  • Triple stacked match and cross-tested plan design
  • Reasons to put each participant in his/her own classification
  • Cross-tested safe harbor 401(k) plan design
  • Effective use of options for eligibility, vesting, and other issues

NOTE: Back-to-back scheduling!

The Advanced Plan Design Workshop is followed on the next day by the Plan Corrections: Fixing the Broken Plan Workshop. A multi-program registration discount is offered for those who wish to attend both programs at the same location. Attend both Workshops and enjoy the multiple-program discount – a $50 savings!
