Safe Harbor 401(k)
Chicago, IL - 7/30/2015 - 7/30/2015

Description

Design and Administration

Safe harbor 401(k) plans are becoming the 401(k) plan of choice for many employers. Utilizing a safe harbor 401(k) plan can avoid burdensome nondiscrimination testing and costly correction, enhance disparity, and increase savings flexibility. Adding an automatic contribution feature can further an employer’s goal of encouraging employees to save for retirement and can reduce costs for employers with high turnover. To stay competitive in today’s market, practitioners must have a complete understanding of safe harbor 401(k) plans.

Combining case studies, slide presentation, lecture, and worksheets, we present a comprehensive view of safe harbor 401(k) plan design and administration, including the QACA rules. By putting pencil to paper and doing the actual calculations in the worksheets, you gain a thorough understanding of safe harbor plan designs. This is a hands-on program that gives you the tools you need to be a safe harbor 401(k) plan expert. Plus, attendees will receive a bevy of forms they can easily modify to facilitate administration of safe harbor plans.

NOTE: Back-to-back scheduling!
The Safe Harbor 401(k) Plan Workshop is followed on the next day by the Advanced Cross-Tested Plan Workshop.
