We have put together a list of Frequently Asked Questions related to the migration of the 5300 forms and functionality into the Relius Government Forms 5500 application for 2013.

Please check back frequently for updates.

1. Why are you adding 5300 forms and functionality to the Relius Government Forms 5500 system for 2013?

A. We are moving in a new direction to reduce the number of applications you need to install and maintain for managing your government forms business, and this is the start of that migration.  In addition, the existing Relius Government Forms 5300 application is not supported on Windows 7. The Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013 is supported on Windows 7.

2. When will Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013 be available?

A. We are currently scheduled to release Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013 in mid-January 2013.

3. Will Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013 be supported on Windows 7?

A. Yes.

4. Will I need to renew/purchase Relius Government Forms 5300 in order to access the 5300 forms if our company is already licensed for Relius Government Forms 5500?

A. Yes – you will need to renew/purchase Relius Government Forms 5300 for 2013 in order to access the 5300 forms in Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013.  NOTE: If you only use Relius Government Forms 5300, you do not need to renew/purchase Relius Government Forms 5500 for 2013 in order to access the 5300 forms.

If you have questions regarding renewals or purchasing Relius Government Forms software, please contact Client Account Services at 800-326-7235, option 6.

5. When I install Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013, why am I asked to enter two keycodes?

A. The form sets, 5500 forms and 5300 forms, are licensed individually. If you are licensed for both 5500 and 5300, please enter both keycodes provided.  If you are only licensed for one of the products, enter the applicable keycode.  NOTE: if you only license one product, the other set of forms will be available as a trial license.

6. I have not licensed Relius Government Forms 5300, why can I access the 5300 forms in Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013?

A. If you have only licensed one of the forms sets, in this example, the 5500 forms, the other form set will be available as a trial license. You will have access to the 5300 forms, but will not be able to print copies that can be filed with the government.  The same limitation will apply to the 5500 forms if you only license the 5300 forms package.

7. What are the steps for creating a 5300 in Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013.0?

A. On the Open screen (File > Open), select the 5300 tab to gain access to the 5300 forms.  To create a 5300 form, you will first need to complete the Plan Information Worksheet (PIW), which is the first form on the list. Select New to create the PIW.  If creating a new PIW, you can enter the information on the Plan Sponsor Information section, save and proceed to complete the other forms needed.  If you already have an existing PIW for the plan as a result of an existing 5500, then select the plan, and then select the 5300 form you wish to complete.

8. How is the 5300 data stored in Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013?

A. The 5300 forms will be stored in a planbook.  If there is an existing 5500 forms planbook for the plan, the 5300 forms will be stored in that planbook.
If you are using Web Client, the 5300 forms will be published as part of the planbook, but will not be accessible on Web Client.  Only the 5500 forms will be available on Web Client, as they are today.

IMPORTANT: As with the 5500 forms that are published to Web Client, if you publish a planbook to Web Client that includes 5300 forms, and you make subsequent changes to the 5300 forms, when you retrieve the planbook from Web Client the system will overwrite the changes you made with the data as it existed when the planbook was initially published.  Since changes to the 5300 forms should be minimal, this should not have an impact on your 5300 processing.

9. Will I be able to access 5300 forms created in a prior version in Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013?

A. No. If you need to access a 5300 form created in a prior version, you will need to maintain access to the prior version.  This is consistent with how we have managed previous version upgrades.

10. Will there be any new functionality for 5300 forms in Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013?

A. Yes – the following new functionality has been added for 5300 forms.
PDF printing – Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013 now offers printing to PDF from within for the 5300’s.

Transfer to Form – You can now transfer like fields to multiple forms by filling out the relevant information on the Plan Information Worksheet. This eliminates the need to re-enter the same plan information on each 5300 series form.

File List search – The File List Search allows you to generate a report or list of plans that have a specific 5300 series form included.

11. Will there be any loss of functionality for 5300 forms in Relius Government Forms 5500/5300 version 2013?

A. No.
