Participant Disclosures After FAB 2012-2: A Game Changer
Presentor: Stephen Forbes Recorded Date: 7/17/2012 Duration: 100 Min.

Description

This program was recorded during a live presentation on July 17, 2012, and is essentially the same program content as the May 17 and May 30 presentations, "Participant Fee Discosures: Working with the New DOL Rules."

*************************************

At long last, the DOL has issued guidance on the participant fee disclosure rules. The good news is that the guidance answers a lot of questions. The bad news is that most plans will need to make some modifications in their planned disclosures, but are still subject to an August 30, 2012, deadline.

This Web seminar is vital to anyone advising the plan administrator of a participant-directed plan subject to ERISA. The speaker provides an in-depth look at the new requirements, clarifications and examples, and show what they mean to you.

If the DOL issues additional guidance on service provider disclosures prior to the program, that will also covered in this program.

Topics include:

  • Designated investment alternatives definitions and exemption.
  • Status of model portfolios.
  • Detail in administrative expense disclosures.
  • Double listing of investment alternatives.
  • Transition rules.
  • 403(b) exemptions.
  • Comparative chart requirements.
  • Web site requirements.
Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites or other advanced preparation for this program. However, the instructor will assume participants are generally familiar with the participant fee disclosure rquirements under the 404a-5 regulation.
