IRS Determines Number of MSAs

The Internal Revenue Service has determines that the applicable number of Medical Savings Accounts (MSAs) filed for 1998 is 32,371 and the 1999 projection is 44,782. Since these numbers are way below the HIPAA's established limit, no cutoff date for the MSA pilot project has been reached.
