Late deposits of elective deferrals continue to be a major focus for the DOL. Two recent pronouncements make significant changes in this area. The first was a field assistance bulletin proclaiming that trustees were responsible for collecting contributions, and that they can't simply shrug off that duty. The second is a new safe harbor standard for depositing deferrals for small plans.

This pre-recorded Web Seminar examines both of these developments in detail. We also look at correcting late deposits, computing the penalty taxes, responding to DOL correspondence, and reporting on Form 5500.
