Stephen W. Forbes, J.D., LL.M., vice president, Relius Education is a graduate of George Washington University Law Center. Steve joined SunGard in 1998. Before joining Pension Publications of Denver (PPD) in 1988, Steve was a tax law specialist with the National Office of the Internal Revenue Service, Employee Plans Division. Steve was formerly an adjunct professor (Qualified Deferred Compensation), Graduate Tax Program, University of Denver College of Law. He conducts many SunGard Relius Education seminars, including the ERISA Workshop, Prototype, 401(k), 403(b), and private in-house seminars, and is the author of The 5500 Filing Guide, and a contributing author of The Pension Library.

S. Derrin Watson, J.D., APM, received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Brigham Young University, and his J.D. from UCLA Law School. He has been involved with qualified plans since 1977 and had his first case involving controlled groups shortly thereafter. He lectures frequently for the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and was named recipient of ASPPA's 2006 Educator's Award for his dedication to education for the next generation of retirement plan experts and his continuous support of others. Derrin also lectures frequently for the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA), and is a regular presenter at various SunGard Relius Education programs. Derrin is actively involved in authoring The Pension Library, a SunGard technical resource publication, and has authored several articles for the Journal of Pension Benefits, for ASPPA publications, and is the author of Who's the Employer, a detailed analysis of employee and employer issues (leased employees, controlled groups, etc.) that affect qualified plans.

Kevin L. Burch, J.D., LL.M., is an attorney with SunGard's Relius. He is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center where he specialized in employee benefits while working with the United States Senate Budget Committee. Kevin has worked domestically and internationally in the area of pensions. In 2011, he returned from London where he specialized in the pension aspects of cross-border mergers/acquisitions, pension liability management exercises and pension regulator issues in more than 30 different countries. For a number of years prior to London, Kevin worked in all areas of tax-qualification, fiduciary counseling and reporting when creating, maintaining and terminating U.S.-based pension plans. Kevin reviews and creates course materials, is a presenter at SunGard's Relius seminars, and is a contributor to the Pension Library, a SunGard publication.
